Dr. Avery Jackson III received a degree in biology from the University of Chicago; medical degree from Wayne State University; internship in general surgery at Northwestern University; and neurosurgery residency at Penn State University. He completed a complex neurosurgical spine fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin with emphasis on performing translational research in the spine biomechanics engineering lab. He is a board certified neurosurgeon.
He is the founder and chief executive officer of the Michigan Neurosurgical Institute PC since 2004. He is the Founder/ trustee of the Body Healthcare, a national parallel healthcare system driven to bring wellness back to healthcare. The Body Healthcare system is a 508c1a church entity that will replace the current biomedical industrial complex -a better promise to those that it serves.
He presented research at several national and international neurosurgical and spine conferences. He has participated and led several investigational trials.
He holds over 20 patents for inventions in areas of neurosurgery and general surgery. He serves on several boards.
